Sept peintres et un graffeur, connus dans le monde artistique ont exposé leurs œuvres d’art au centre Aminata Mbaye dans le cadre de la biennale.
Des enfants déficients intellectuels s’exercent à l’art comme moyen de thérapie pour lutter contre leur handicap. Accompagnés de professionnels artistiques, ces gamins ont rendu visible, mardi, leur travail basé sur des œuvres abstraites dont des portraits au centre Aminata Mbaye de Scat Urbam.
Sept peintres et un graffeur, connus dans le monde artistique ont exposé leurs œuvres d’art au centre Aminata Mbaye dans le cadre de la biennale. La cérémonie de vernissage a eu lieu mardi dernier. Seulement, cette exposition garde comme particularité les chefs d’œuvre des enfants déficients intellectuels qui y étudient. Des œuvres pleins d’espoir qui retracent le vécu de ces enfants dans le monde réel, entaché de quelques notes de tristesse. Si la couleur bleue reste présente dans les œuvres d’art avec une représentation de la mer et du ciel pour symboliser l’espoir, la pureté, elle est aussi associée à la prégnance de la couleur blanche.
En outre, le gris tout comme le noir symbolise cette note de tristesse. Une note montrant la particularité de ce centre qui essaie de donner la joie, l’espoir à des enfants malades dont les parents ont parfois épuisé tous les recours. Des tableaux d’art qui sortent de l’abstrait avec des portraits qui retracent la culture sénégalaise dont la lutte. Cette exposition a accueilli plusieurs autorités dont celles de Luxembourg.
Le Port autonome de Dakar qui parraine des enfants du centre avec un appui de 10 millions n’a pas été en reste. Le graffiti tout comme l’art plastique demeure pour plusieurs de ces enfants déficients un moyen de s’évader dans un monde de paix et de joie.
Pour la directrice du centre Aminata Mbaye, Madeleine Dione, l’objectif du centre est de montrer, de faire découvrir le talent des enfants déficients qui souffrent de pathologies comme la trisomie, l’autisme ou autres maladies handicapantes. « Les enfants sont capables de faire autant de choses ou plus même que ceux qui se disent normaux ne font. Les parents ont été surpris de voir le travail de leurs enfants et c’est grâce à l’appui des enseignants, l’encadrement mais aussi le soutien des bonnes volontés » a-t-elle avancé. Et de poursuivre : « avec la pratique artistique, les enfants sont parvenus à faire de belles choses et ces actions doivent être encouragées et accompagnées».
Selon l’encadrement dudit centre, les acteurs font le plaidoyer pour l’implantation des centres identiques un peu partout dans le pays. « Nous souhaitons que cet établissement se multiplie à cent pour cent au Sénégal et hors même des frontières. Les pensionnaires du centre sont déficients, mais nous aussi nous le sommes car beaucoup d’entre nous vivent avec des maladies. Je crois en ces genres de personnes. C’est du seigneur tout court», a avancé Dieynaba Baldé du collège des artistes exposants.
Pour la dite exposition qui entre dans le cadre des Off de la Biennale de Dakar, les 20% des recettes seront reversées pour le fonctionnement du centre. « Les artistes vont céder une partie de la vente des œuvres au centre », a fait savoir le commissaire de l’exposition Magatte Touré.
Pour rappel, ils sont huit artistes qui exposent leurs œuvres d’art au sein du centre Aminata Mbaye dont un graffeur Akonga et des peintres Daouda Ba, Dieynaba Baldé, Aimé Clément Diompy, Ibrahima Gningue, Daniel Severin Ngassu, Mamadou Sadji et Magatte Touré.
