Les deux icônes de la musique africaine, dans une ambiance conviviale, ont en effet annoncé ce duo, à travers une discussion chaleureuse qui témoigne de l’amitié et de la proximité entre les deux artistes dont le talent est reconnu sur l’échiquier musical africain voire mondial.
Sékouba Bambino s’est réjoui du retour sur scène de Coumba Gawlo qu’il qualifie de grande voix de la musique africaine, pour dire sa joie de la revoir radieuse mais surtout de retour sur les grandes scènes. Une grande icône comme Coumba Gawlo ne pouvait manquer à la musique africaine, ajoute t-il.
A son tour la diva Coumba Gawlo a salué cette volonté partagée d’offrir au public ce duo, et a remercié l’artiste guinéen de l’avoir soutenue lors de son retrait de la scène musicale pour raison de santé.
