Alors que le Président de la République, Macky Sall, maintient toujours son «ni oui, ni non» pour un troisième mandat, le guide religieux Serigne Habib Sy Dabakh, fils de l’ancien Khalife Général des Tidianes, Serigne Abdoul Aziz Sy, lui conseille de ne pas se présenter mandat pour la Présidentielle de 2024. Invité de l’émission Sortie sur Walf TV hier, dimanche 28 août, il a indiqué que c’est Macky Sall même qui a dit que «nul ne peut faire plus de deux mandats consécutifs».
«Il n’a même pas à essayer. C’est mon avis personnel. S’il tente de le faire, ce qui était impensable dans ce pays, va se produire», a déclaré le guide religieux. Allant plus loin, il a demandé au Président de la République de «se méfier de son entourage».
«Je ne peux pas comprendre comment ceux qui étaient là hier et qui ont fait toutes les bassesses, peuvent revenir aujourd’hui pour nous donner des leçons de morale. Les transhumants, on doit les éliminer», a fait savoir Serigne Habib Sy Dabakh.
Sur les attaques contre le leader du parti PASTEF/Les Patriotes, Ousmane Sonko, il a rappelé à Macky Sall ses propos tenus contre son prédécesseur Me Abdoulaye Wade lors de la campagne présidentielle de 2012.
« Nous voulons choisir la voie démocratique, s’il reporte l’élection et nous impose un coup de force, nous allons le déloger du pays», avait juré Macky Sall à la veille de la Présidentielle de 2012. Le fils de Serigne Abdou Aziz Sy Dabakh s’est aussi prononcé sur le dossier opposant Ousmane Sonko à la masseuse Adji Sarr. Sur ce, il a demandé au ministre de la Justice de «faire très attention».
«Qu’ils (les gens du pouvoir) nous disent comment sont terminés les dossiers qui sont passés par là s’ils veulent que les gens croient à la justice. Même le Président a dit qu’il a mis son coude sur certains dossiers pour éviter que le pays brûle», a laissé entendre Serigne Habib Sy Dabakh tout en précisant qu’il n’est ni avec Ousmane Sonko ni avec Macky Sall.
Sur les accusations de rébellion et de terrorisme, il tranche net: «Ce n’est pas vrai. Qui veut tuer son chat, l’accuse de rage. C’est juste ça», a-t-il dit.
A l’en croire, les tenants du pouvoir doivent savoir que le Sénégal n’est plus ce qu’il était en 2012. «Ils doivent prendre conscience de cela. Ils doivent savoir que les jeunes ne laisseront plus faire. Ils sont éveillés. L’achat de conscience est révolu», a fait savoir le guide religieux. Sur les marabouts, il a tenu à préciser qu’il ne faut pas mettre tout le monde dans le même sac. Toutefois, il est d’avis que «c’est l’argent qui fait que certains n’osent plus dire la vérité».
«Que le spirituel devrait davantage se méfier du temporel», dira-t-il. Il n’a pas manqué de demander aux jeunes de croire en Dieu et d’arrêter d’insulter sur les réseaux sociaux même s’il dit comprendre leur «désespoir» et leur «découragement».
