Après le verdict du tribunal de grande instance de Saint-Louis concernant les 80 personnes arrêtées après des affrontements à Sor, le « maire » de la ville de Dakar qui a perdu son statut de conseiller municipal a pris la parole, lors d’une conférence de presse organisée hier, mardi, pour s’indigner de ces arrestations et des condamnations consécutives.
Pour Barthélémy Dias, ce n’est ni plus ni moins qu’une prise d’otages. Revenant sur les contours de ces arrestations, il a ajouté, lors de son face-à-face avec les médias, qu’il n’y a d’ailleurs aucune vidéo qui peut attester que les personnes incriminées, ont commis des fautes.

Loin d’être par ailleurs résigné au sujet de sa révocation comme édile de Dakar qu’il considère comme « une injustice », Barthélémy Dias a fait savoir : « Je reste le maire de cette capitale parce que je n’ai toujours pas vu mon remplaçant ». Dans la foulée il a tenu à incriminer l’actuel régime en disant « qu’il s’agit d’un braquage.
Quand on accapare une institution, l’encercle par les forces de l’ordre et dit que l’élu n’a pas le droit d’entrer dans cette institution, c’est un vol.
