L’Agence nationale de la statistique et de la démographie (Ansd), a indiqué que le coût de la construction des logements neufs à usage d’habitation a baissé de 0,2% au troisième trimestre 2023, par rapport au trimestre précédent.
Cette évolution résulte essentiellement du repli des prix des « matériaux de construction ». En revanche, l’augmentation du coût de la main d’œuvre, de la location du matériel ainsi que des moyens de gestion a amoindri cette baisse.
En variation annuelle, le coût de la construction a enregistré une diminution de 0,5%.
Par ailleurs, au mois d’août 2023, la production totale d’électricité de la Senelec a fléchi de 1,0% passant de 623,2Gwh au mois précédent à 617,1 Gwh, d’après l’Ansd. Durant le même mois, l’activité minière, suivie auprès des entreprises formelles, est caractérisée par le relèvement des productions en valeur du zircon (+19,6%), de l’or (+9,5%), du sel iodé (+4,9% et de l’attapulgite (+4,4%), en variation mensuelle.
D’un autre côté, la production industrielle (hors égrenage de coton) a fléchi de 1,0%, en glissement annuel. La cimenterie au Sénégal se caractérise au mois sous revue par un abaissement de la production (-0,3%), en variation mensuelle, corroboré par le repli des exportations (-2,1%) au cours de cette période, mais atténué par l’accroissement des ventes locales (+0,9%).
