En à peine cinq semaines depuis sa nomination, Madame Khady Diene Gaye, la nouvelle ministre de la Jeunesse, des sports et de la culture, a choisi la ville de Tivaouane pour effectuer sa toute première sortie officielle. Cette décision souligne l’importance accordée par la ministre à cette ville et à ses initiatives.
Lors de sa visite de chantier, Madame Khady Diene Gaye s’est rendue à la Maison de la Jeunesse et de la Citoyenneté, dont les travaux ont été achevés depuis quelque temps, mais qui n’a pas encore été inaugurée. La ministre a exprimé son intention d’inaugurer cette maison dès que possible, tout en soulignant l’importance de prendre le temps de faire un état des lieux complet avant de procéder à toute inauguration.
Madame Khady Diene Gaye a mis en avant l’importance des installations sportives pour la jeunesse, notant que celles-ci pourraient grandement profiter à la population scolaire.
« J’ai constaté qu’il y avait des installations sportives qui pourraient profiter à la population scolaire. Parce que nous savons qu’à l’heure actuelle, nos populations scolaires, surtout dans le cadre du sport scolaire, sont très limitées et confrontées à un problème de pratique de certaines disciplines sportives, notamment la natation, et cela, je parle en connaissance de cause.
Maintenant, si nous arrivons à avoir toutes ces installations, notamment une piscine à l’intérieur de cette Maison de la Jeunesse, cela pourra nous accompagner et servir de lieu de pratique pour la population scolaire de Tivaouane», a-t-elle déclaré.
Khady Diene Gaye a également fait part de son enthousiasme quant aux projets de construction d’autres installations sportives à Tivaouane.
« Et je suis heureuse de constater avec le premier magistrat de la ville qu’il y a une réserve foncière juste derrière la Maison de la Jeunesse et de la Citoyenneté, et il m’a fait part qu’il l’a destinée à l’édification d’un terrain de football ainsi que d’un plateau multifonctionnel. Sachez que tout ceci est pour accompagner la jeunesse, vous accompagner à pouvoir développer vos talents, déployer vos véritables atouts.
Mais cette jeunesse, il faut l’accompagner, l’encadrer, la superviser et la doter des moyens pour pouvoir développer ses talents, explorer des cieux.
Prochainement, nous ferons des visites pour les installations sportives, pour les stades au niveau des départements qui ont fait l’objet d’un programme de réhabilitation. Ce n’est pas une inauguration, c’est juste une visite de terrain, de chantier pour m’enquérir de la situation du chantier, pour pouvoir savoir sur quelle base nous pouvons partir. »
Cette visite marque le début d’une nouvelle ère de coopération et de développement dans le domaine du sport et de la jeunesse sous la direction de Madame Khady Diene Gaye.
