L’affaire Dakar Sacré-Cœur qui opposait une dizaine de mineurs à l’ex-préparateur physique Olivier Brice Sylvain a été vidée, ce mardi par la chambre criminelle du tribunal de grande instance de Dakar. Laquelle a finalement rendu son verdict dans cette affaire de mœurs qui avait éclaté dans ledit club de football.
En effet, la chambre criminelle a reçu la constitution de partie civile de Souleymane Mbaye avant de prononcer l’acquittement de Olivier Brice Sylvain des faits de pédophilie. Elle le déclare, par ailleurs, coupable de détournement de mineur. Pour ce chef, Olivier Brice Sylvain a écopé d’une peine ferme de 2 ans d’emprisonnement. Il est également condamné à allouer la somme de 500.000 francs aux victimes.
Pour rappel, l’ex-préparateur physique au centre de formation de jeunes footballeurs Dakar-Sacré Cœur, Sylvain a été jugé le 25 juillet dernier en audience spéciale devant la chambre criminelle. Il était initialement poursuivi pour pédophilie, détournement de mineur et acte contre nature. Il était traduit en justice par une dizaine de jeunes âgés entre 13 et 15 ans qui l’accusent de les avoir abusés sexuellement alors qu’ils le côtoyaient au quotidien à Dakar-Sacré Cœur.
Le procès s’était tenu à huis clos mais il ressort des débats d’audience que l’accusé a clamé son innocence. Olivier Brice Sylvain avait nié avoir fait des attouchements aux victimes dont sept avaient été dénombrées lors de l’éclatement de ce scandale le 7 février 2020 sur dénonciation du président délégué du centre de formation. L’avocat des victimes avait réclamé 500 000 francs pour chacune des victimes qu’il défendait. Quant au représentant du parquet, il avait requis 10 ans de prison ferme contre Olivier Sylvain.
