L’Africa tour solutions (Ats) peut se targuer d’avoir contourné le choc du Covid-19. En effet, lors de la pandémie, Ats dont le cœur de métier est le tourisme local, a proposé à ses clients des excursions solos. «Durant le Covid, on a travaillé sur un concept innovateur.
On faisait une émission qui s’appelle Xam sa rew. C’est l’expérience des clients qui ont accepté de sillonner le Sénégal qu’on a transformée en émission», a expliqué Alioune Mboup, l’un des cofondateurs de l’entreprise. En marge de la célébration des 5 ans de l’entreprise, il est revenu sur les objectifs d’Ats.
«On veut faire découvrir l’Afrique. Mais dans un premier temps, nous voulons faire découvrir aux Sénégalais le Sénégal», a-t-il mentionné. Depuis les débuts, en 2018, Ats est devenue une «entreprise solide», a affirmé la Directrice générale Aminata Mbaye.
Il faut préciser qu’Ats compte maintenant 27 employés et un bureau à Kigali. Elle est dans l’événementiel, le tourisme et la logistique.
C’est en 2018 que Bachir Lô, fraîchement revenu de la Chine, souhaite faire visiter le Sénégal aux Sénégalais, car il part du constat qu’en Chine, il y a une période dans l’année où les tours opérateurs baissent les prix pour favoriser le tourisme local. C’est de là qu’il en parle à Alioune Mboup, qui avait aussi la volonté de faire découvrir l’Afrique aux Américains.
Il s’est occupé du marketing et Bachir du côté administratif pour créer l’entreprise. Alioune était basé aux Usa pour vendre la destination. «Nous avons commencé à voyager pour savoir ce qu’on doit vendre. On a fait le tour du Sénégal. C’est comme ça qu’on a commencé. Au début, le rythme était lent. C’est de là que Alioune a décidé de rentrer sur Dakar.
On a commencé par le tourisme local. Les Ats sunday tours, tous les dimanches, étaient nos premières activités. La première excursion, on avait 16 personnes, deux semaines après, 30 personnes sont venues. On a innondé les réseaux sociaux. Par la suite, on recevait des appels de l’étranger.
Pour commencer, on a recruté des diplômés en tourisme. C’est grâce à eux qu’on en est arrivés là», a fait Bachir l’historique d’Ats.
