Ce mercredi 28 février 2024, on jouait les quarts de finale de la Coupe de la Ligue Dames de l’édition 2024 au stadium Marius Ndiaye, sans avoir joué la Ville de Dakar (détentrice du trophée) s’est qualifiée directement en demi-finale suite au forfait de l’ASFO. Le promu GBA sera aussi au rendez-vous du dernier carré après avoir dominé DBALOC (68-48) et la JA sans aucune surprise s’est imposée devant Bopp (68-51).
Pour la première fois de son histoire, Guédiawaye Basket Academy (GBA), disputera les demi-finales de la Coupe de la Ligue, après sa belle victoire contre le DBALOC. Comme toujours, la bande à Coumba Niang a une nouvelle fois imposé son rythme à l’adversaire en menant à la pause (19-15).
En seconde période, elles ont continué à pousser pour ne pas se laisser dominer dans cette partie, en remportant encore la seconde manche (49-33), pour sceller définitivement la victoire.
Dans l’autre rencontre, la Jeanne d’Arc a pris le dessus en venant à bout de Bopp, une rencontre bien maitrisée par la vieille dame, comme en championnat, elle dicte sa loi en l’emportant à la pause (39-30).
Au retour des vestiaires, la JA a continué sur sa lancée en mettant en place son jeu habituel, qui l’a permis de remporter les deux derniers derniers quart-temps (29-21), avec ce succès la Jeanne d’Arc obtient son billet pour le dernier carré.
Il reste désormais un seul ticket à disputer pour compléter le tableau des demi-finales, entre le DUC et l’UCAD SC, qui se jouera ce jeudi au stadium Marius Ndiaye à 15H00.
