L’entrepreneuriat et le leadership féminin ont contribué à hauteur de 2.681 milliards de francs Cfa à la création de valeur ajoutée au Sénégal en 2017, correspondant à 22, 1 % du produit intérieur brut (PIB), selon une étude de l’Agence nationale de la statistique et de la démographie.
’Au total, l’entrepreneuriat et le leadership féminins ont contribué à hauteur de 2 681,0 milliards FCfa à la création de valeur ajoutée, soit 22,1% du PIB du Sénégal en 2017’’, indique notamment l’étude consacrée à la question.
L’étude sur contribution de l’entrepreneuriat et le leadership féminins à la valeur ajoutée de l’économie sénégalaise, a été le fruit d’une collaboration entre l’ANSD et ONU femmes avec 2017 comme année de référence. ’’Les résultats ont montré que les femmes entrepreneures ou gérantes, dans le secteur formel, ont un niveau d’études élevé (60,4% ont le niveau supérieur) et sont relativement jeunes (57,1% ont un âge compris entre 35 et 55 ans)’’, indique le rapport consulté par l’APS.
Il souligne que les principales difficultés de ces femmes étaient relatives aux impôts et taxes et à l’accès aux crédits. Elles ont, malgré tout, contribué à hauteur de 1 000,5 milliards FCfa à la création de revenus, soit 24,5% à la valeur ajoutée du secteur formel. Cette richesse est tirée principalement, par le secteur tertiaire avec une contribution de 79,3%, fait savoir l’ANSD.
L’étude signale que dans le secteur informel, 61,9% des unités de production informelles non agricoles étaient détenues par les femmes, alors que leur âge moyen de ces femmes s’activant majoritairement dans le commerce (96, 4 %) était de 42 ans. ’’Elles sont généralement sans niveau d’études (63,8%) et ont comme préoccupation majeure l’accès aux financements et le manque d’équipements et de main d’œuvre adéquate’’, pointe l’étude.
Dans le secteur informel non agricole, la contribution des femmes à la création de valeur ajoutée était de l’ordre de 1 222,1 milliards FCFA, correspondant 45, 3 %. L’enquête de l’ANSD a également permis de démontrer que le commerce (49,1%) et la fabrication des produits agroalimentaires (23,9%) avaient généré l’essentiel de cette valeur ajoutée. En ce qui concerne le secteur informel agricole, les femmes se retrouvent notamment dans la culture de céréales et de légumes, pratiquent l’élevage de bovins, ovins et caprins, de la pêche artisanale et la cueillette, a-t-on appris par la même source.
Elle fait remarquer que leur contribution, en termes de valeur ajoutée, était évaluée à 458,4 milliards, soit 27,3% de la richesse du secteur agricole informel au sens large. En fin de compte, 90,8% de cette richesse se retrouvaient dans les sous-secteurs de l’agriculture et de l’élevage, a assuré l’ANSD.
