Il n’a pas encore obtenu la liberté provisoire, mais un pas décisif a été franchi en ce sens. En effet, Cheikh Oumar Diagne a été entendu hier, jeudi, sur le fond par le juge du deuxième cabinet. Il a été placé sous mandat de dépôt depuis trois mois pour diffamation et injures publiques présumées, suite à une plainte de Me Djibril War.
D’après Bés Bi-Le Jour, qui donne l’information ce jeudi, les avocats du mis en cause ont aussitôt après l’audition introduit une demande de liberté provisoire. Ils ne pouvaient pas lancer cette requête sans que le magistrat instructeur ait interrogé leur client au fond.
Le journal Libération parie, dans sa livraison de ce jeudi, que le parquet ne devrait pas s’opposer à la demande de liberté provisoire des avocats de Cheikh Oumar Diagne.
