La communauté économique des États de l’Afrique de l’Ouest (Cedeao) a déployé 40 experts sur le terrain pour le bon déroulement du scrutin du 31 juillet prochain. Ces experts seront accrédités dans cinquante-quatre (54) circonscriptions électorales : quarante-six (46) départements du Sénégal et huit (8) circonscriptions de la Diaspora.
Cependant, ces experts auront pour rôle d’observer le déroulement des opérations de vote dans tout l’étendu du pays et à l’étranger.
Par ailleurs, les experts de la CEDEAO en mission au Sénégal tiendront un point de presse à l’issue du scrutin. En revanche, ils auront une opinion et formuleront, si nécessaire, des recommandations à l’endroit des différentes parties prenantes au processus électoral.
Pour mémoire, le 31 juillet 2022, les Sénégalais sont appelés aux urnes pour renouveler à 5 ans les cent soixante-cinq (165) membres de l’Assemblée nationale.
