La chanteuse a réagi par rapport à la création d’un faux compte Facebook à son nom et que des individus malintentionnés utilisent son image et sa notoriété pour tenter d’abuser, par de fausses promesses de soutien par virement bancaire, de la confiance et de l’affection du public pour la diva, malgré son retrait provisoire de la scène musicale, pour raison de santé, depuis près de deux ans.
«Coumba Gawlo et son équipe déclinent toute responsabilité face à de tels agissements et en appellent à plus de vigilance pour éviter de céder à de telles pratiques malveillantes», a réagi l’équipe de la diva.
