La DIC, chargée de l’enquête sur le décès de François Mancabou, a procédé à la reconstitution des faits qui se seraient déroulés lors de la garde à vue du défunt au commissariat central de Dakar. D’après Libération, qui donne l’information ce vendredi, celle-ci a été faite en présence de sept membres supposés de la «Force spéciale».
Ces derniers ont été extraits de leurs cellules à la prison de Rebeuss où ils sont détenus depuis leur placement sous mandat de dépôt. Avec Pape Mamadou Seck, qui s’est évadé du Pavillon spécial de l’hôpital Aristide Le Dantec, ils étaient placés en garde à vue en même temps que François Mancabou.
En plus de leur statut de prévenus dans l’affaire de la «Force spéciale», ils sont devenus des témoins dans celle de la mort de François Mancabou. Sous cette casquette, ils ont raconté aux enquêteurs de la DIC ce qui se serait passé dans le violon du commissariat central durant leur garde à vue.
Unanimement, d’après le journal Libération, ils ont déclaré que François Mancabou a foncé sur la grille, l’a violemment cognée de la tête et a par la suite perdu connaissance. Leurs témoignages corroborent la déclaration du procureur de la République selon laquelle le défunt a perdu la vie des suites de ses blessures consécutives à son accident au commissariat central. C’est le film de cet incident controversé que la DIC a reconstitué.
