Dans une correspondance adressée à Lat Diop, président de GFC et responsable local de Benno, le maire Yewwi de Guédiawaye, Ahmed Aïdara, annonce la suspension «pour un temps» de la convention dans le cadre duquel la mairie met à la disposition du club le stade Ibrahima Boye. Celle-ci a été signée sous le magistère de son prédécesseur, Aliou Sall.
D’après Les Echos, Ahmed Aïdara a invoqué «un déficit budgétaire criard». Ainsi, renseigne le journal, GFC a jusqu’au 1er octobre prochain à 18 heures pour vider les lieux. L’édile de Guédiawaye offre cependant la possibilité de renouveler la convention «dans d’autres circonstances particulières qui seront définies d’accord parties».
Les Echos rapporte que Lat Diop ne l’entend pas de cette oreille. «Il veut nous retirer le stade que Aliou Sall avait mis à notre disposition sur la base d’une convention de quatre ans, en contrepartie de l’appui financier que la ville devait octroyer à GFC. Il ne sait même pas qu’il ne peut dénoncer une convention de façon unilatérale», souligne le président du club de football.
Ce dernier informe que les avocats de GFC vont saisir la justice et que le Comité exécutif du club va se réunir ce mercredi avant de faire face à la presse demain, jeudi.
