Le syndicat des travailleurs de l’Université Gaston Berger de Saint-Louis est sans voix suite au décès de l’étudiant Prosper Clédor Senghor, blessé lors des manifestations du 9 février. Ses membres en appellent à la responsabilité des autorités étatiques, rapporte Libération.
L’UGB est encore en deuil. Un autre étudiant blessé lors des manifestations est décédé, hier mercredi. Originaire de Kabrousse, Prosper Clédor Senghor a succombé à ses blessures suite à son évacuation à l’hôpital Principal.
Le syndicat des établissements scolaires et universitaires du Sénégal en appelle à la responsabilité stricte des autorités étatiques afin de veiller à la sécurité dans l’espace universitaire.
«C’est avec un cœur meurtri, avec désolation et consternation que nous avons appris le décès de l’étudiant, Prosper Clédor Senghor.
Nous sommes là à encadrer et à former des étudiants. Ces étudiants ne sont pas venus à l’université pour rentrer chez eux avec des certificats de décès mais plutôt avec des certifications pédagogique», déplore Hamath Diallo, porte-parole du syndicat ».
Avant de poursuivre: «l ‘université n’est pas un champ de tirs mais plutôt un temple du savoir. Les autorités ont le devoir de protéger les étudiants, de protéger les encadreurs, de protéger les jeunes».
