Le Ministre de la Culture et de la Communication, Abdoulaye Diop, a reçu vendredi des mains du professeur Mamadou Fall, les 14 volumes de l’édition de l’Histoire générale du Sénégal, a informé le service de communication de son département, rebseigne leSoleil.sn.
« Ces 14 volumes sont un résumé de 300.000 ans d’histoire de notre pays et l’équipe a mis un accent particulier sur la qualité dans la présentation des livres’’, a dit M. Fall dans des propos rapportés par le texte.
Il a exprimé toute sa gratitude au ministre pour son soutien « constant et permanent », en vue de la production et l’édition de ces ouvrages en particulier et de la réécriture de l’Histoire générale du Sénégal.
Abdoulaye Diop a, pour sa part, salué l’énorme travail réalisé jusque-là pour la réécriture de l’Histoire générale du Sénégal.
« C’est une volonté du président de la République, Macky Sall, qui a voulu doter notre pays d’un référentiel », a rappelé le ministre.
Il a saisi l’occasion lors de cette rencontre pour inviter encore les acteurs culturels notamment les cinéastes, les comédiens à s’inspirer de l’Histoire du Sénégal dans les productions de leurs œuvres.
Le ministre a reçu aussi l’artiste Amadou Sow alias ’’Zoumba’’, venu l’informer du prix du meilleur conteur international qui lui a été décerné par le Conseil d’administration du Prix international de Sharjah pour le patrimoine culturel.
Ce prix est présidé par le docteur Abdul Aziz Al Musallam, président de l’Institut de Sharjah pour le patrimoine, lit-on dans le communiqué. Selon le texte, ce prix « prestigieux’’ honore Zoumba, en l’élevant au titre de « Trésors humains vivants », magnifiant ainsi son rôle actif dans le transfert d’expériences et de connaissances, et l’identification des techniques narratives orales dans le domaine du patrimoine culturel immatériel.
Saisissant l’occasion, Abdoulaye Diop a particulièrement insisté sur l’urgence qui s’attache à la prise en compte de l’énorme potentiel qui se trouve en régions.
Le ministre a estimé que les différentes directions du département de la Culture ont l’obligation de promouvoir ce potentiel régional.
