L’Algérie a envoyé mardi plus de 80 tonnes d’aide humanitaire au Sénégal pour soulager la situation des personnes touchées par les inondations dans la capitale Dakar, a indiqué le ministère algérien de la Défense dans un communiqué.
« Dans le cadre du renforcement des liens humanitaires et fraternels entre l’Algérie et le Sénégal, ce mardi matin, 16 août 2022, trois (03) avions de transport militaire appartenant aux Forces aériennes de l’Armée nationale populaire se sont envolés vers Dakar avec une aide humanitaire estimée à 80 tonnes, apportée par le Croissant-Rouge algérien au profit des sinistrés des inondations dans la ville de Dakar/Sénégal. Les trois appareils ont décollé de la base aérienne de Boufarik au sein du premier régiment militaire », peut-on lire dans le communiqué du ministère de la Défense, relayée par ecsaharaui.com citant la presse locale.
Selon la presse locale, l’aide, composée principalement de produits alimentaires, médicaux et pharmaceutiques, a été transportée dans trois avions de l’armée de l’air algérienne jusqu’à l’aéroport international Blaise Diagne de Dakar, où elle sera remise aux autorités sénégalaises.
Le 5 août dernier, de fortes pluies se sont abattues à Dakar, causant la mort d’une personne et des dégâts matériels.
