C’est du moins le point de vue défendu par Abdou Souleye Diop. Associé du Cabinet Mazars, ce Sénégalais, établi depuis longtemps au Maroc, a évoqué au micro de l’organe économique marocain Medias24, les attentes qu’il faut placer dans ce type de rencontre en termes d’investissements dans le continent noir.
«Aujourd’hui que ce soit Dfc, que ce soit dans le cadre de l’Initiative Prosper Africa, ces actions du Corporate council Africa vont pousser beaucoup d’entreprises américaines à investir. On a vu quand le Président Adesina (de la Bad) parler de tout ce qui a été réalisé comme investissements dans le domaine des infrastructures, tous les besoins qui se chiffrent à plusieurs centaines de milliards de dollars. On ne parle pas de petits montants pour les 10 prochaines années.» Ce qui le pousse à affirmer qu’«il y a de la place pour que les entreprises américaines prennent leur part dans cette dynamique d’investissements».
«Quand on parle des énergies renouvelables, des dizaines de térawatts qu’il va falloir mettre dans les pays développés, quand on parle d’industries pétrolières, etc.(…)», cite-t-il à titre d’exemples. D’où sa conviction qu’«il y a un potentiel extrêmement important, des besoins importants». «Les Américains peuvent prendre leur part. Quand on dit qu’en termes d’infrastructures, il y a un besoin de 100 milliards par an, en 10 ans ça fait 1000 milliards. 10% de ça, ce ne sont pas des montants irréels. C’est concret !», explique Abdou Souleye Diop. Qui évoque aussi d’autres secteurs potentiellement porteurs en termes d’investissements pour l’Afrique, le Maroc et les Etats-Unis : le tourisme, les technologies, l’éducation, les mines, la logistique, etc.
L’expert sénégalais reste d’avis que «beaucoup d’entreprises américaines veulent investir au Maroc et sur le continent africain». «Très clairement, il y a une forte intention. Il y a beaucoup d’entreprises américaines, Le Leader summit qui aura lieu en décembre prochain aux Etats-Unis et qui a été annoncé par la vice-présidente (américaine, Kamala Harris), est aussi un évènement à préparer, parce qu’il y aura un Business forum, pour ce leader summit», préconise M. Diop. «Et là, je pense qu’on va avancer dans la concrétisation de la coopération», indique encore Abdou Souleye Diop.
