Il veut être reçu par l’ancien maire de Dakar pour lui faire partie des conditions de vie difficiles qu’ils rencontrent depuis leur élargissement le 12 février 2025.
On vous comme connaît étant l’un des gardes du corps du candidat à l’élection présidentielle Barthélemy Dias qui ont été arrêtés et emprisonnés à Saint-Louis. Beaucoup ignorent cependant qui vous êtes réellement. Pourriez-vous vous présenter ?
Je m’appelle Kimo Seydi, membre des gardes du corps de Barthélemy Dias arrêtés à Saint-Louis. J’ai dix ans d’expérience. J’ai été formé en 2017 à la caserne Samba Diéry Diallo. J’ai également été garde du corps d’un ministre de l’Emploi pendant deux ans et j’ai travaillé avec les Nations Unies, une grande artiste de la scène musicale locale ainsi qu’au Programme national de développement local. À cela s’ajoutent des collaborations avec divers hommes d’affaires.
Pourriez-vous revenir sur les faits et la situation que vous vivez depuis votre sortie de prison, le 12 février 2025 ?
Vu mon parcours professionnel, vous comprenez que je ne saurais me mêler des affaires pour lesquelles j’ai été interpellé à Aloup Kagne et emprisonné à Saint-Louis. Le jour de notre arrestation, je faisais bureau de chauffeur et dirigeais le convoi de Barth. J’étais à l’avant du cortège avec plusieurs voitures.
Personnellement, j’ai purgé trois mois de prison ferme pour des faits d’exercice illégal d’activité de police, de violence, de détention illégale d’armes et de munitions ainsi que d’autres actions diverses.
En tant que chauffeur qui dirigeait le convoi, comment aurais-je pu être témoin de ce qui se passait à l’avant et à l’arrière ? C’est incohérent. Je ne vais pas dire qu’aucune arme ou pompe à gaz n’a été trouvée dans le convoi. Cependant, aucune arme n’a été retrouvée chez ceux d’entre nous qui ont été interpellés.
Certes, il y avait des pompes à gaz et des bâtons télescopiques, mais ce sont des faits avérés.
Si nous parlons de ce dossier aujourd’hui, c’est parce que nous sommes des gardes du corps et que nous avons été interpellés pour les faits mentionnés précédemment. Beaucoup parmi nous disposaient d’une carte professionnelle. Personnellement, j’ai la mienne ainsi que mon diplôme. Dire que j’exerce une activité illégale de police privée, c’est méconnaître le rôle d’un garde du corps et de la sécurité privée.
Concernant notre interlocuteur direct, Barthélemy Dias, depuis notre sortie de prison le 12 février, personne de son entourage n’a prononcé le moindre mot sur notre situation, lui y compris.
Parmi ceux qui ont été élargis, certaines souffrent de maladies dues aux conditions carcérales et vivent des situations financières catastrophiques, avec des soucis liés à la localisation, aux frais scolaires, entre autres. D’autres ont perdu leur emploi, car ils ont été licenciés pendant leur incarcération.
À mon avis, lorsqu’une personne qui travaille avec vous est interpellée dans le cadre de ses fonctions, le minimum serait de s’enquérir de ses nouvelles, de sa santé.
Je tiens également à préciser que certains d’entre nous, emprisonnés, sont des proches de Barthélemy Dias. Mais depuis notre sortie, nous n’avons eu aucun contact.
Donc, vous estimez que vous avez été laissés à l’abandon ?
En fait, pendant notre incarcération, nous avons ressenti son soutien et il prenait en charge certaines de nos dépenses. Cependant, depuis notre libération, un vide se fait sentir. C’est comme si nous étions devenus des moins que rien, à ses yeux. Ce n’est pas une question d’argent, mais il y avait un contrat moral qui nous liait à Barthélemy Dias.
Cette situation est inacceptable et inhumaine.
Nous ne sommes pas des militants, mais des professionnels de la sécurité. Nous pouvons travailler avec x aujourd’hui et y demain sans problème. Tout ce que nous exigeons, en tant que personnes intelligentes et humaines, c’est qu’il nous parle. C’est tout ce que nous souhaitons. Nous devons communiquer.
Personne de son entourage n’a eu la moindre discussion avec nous, depuis notre sortie de prison.
Les autres collègues gardes du corps ayant purgé leurs peines sont agités. Certains demandent une mobilisation, de faire du bruit pour se faire entendre ou se rendre chez lui de manière inopinée. À mon avis, cela n’en vaut pas la peine. Il connaît la situation et maîtrise le dossier. Nous voulons simplement nous asseoir avec lui, échanger et rien d’autre.
Nous attendons de lui qu’il nous dise au moins « massa », afin que nous sachions que nous avons affaire à un gentleman, à une autorité.
Mais pour être honnête, la situation est très difficile pour nous.
C’est très compliqué. Nous avons tous perdu notre emploi et rencontré des problèmes de santé. Il est crucial que nous communiquions avant que la situation ne dégénère. Nous ne voulons pas que les collègues pensent que tous les politiciens se comportent de la même manière. Nous voulons simplement qu’il nous parle.
Si Barthélemy Dias continue d’opter pour le silence, que comptez-vous faire ? Avez-vous prévu des actions ?
Nous ne savons pas encore. Nous préférons d’abord attendre de voir comment il va réagir avant de décider de la suite à donner. Selon sa réaction, nous jugerons de la prochaine étape. Mais nous espérons qu’il nous entendra.
De toute façon, nous allons discuter de la suite.
Nous sommes des gardes du corps et nous évitons de faire des choses qui pourraient ternir l’image de notre profession. Nous ne souhaitons pas dire du mal de notre client. Nous voulons juste alerter l’opinion et notre client, Barthélemy Dias, sur notre situation et sur ce que nous vivons depuis notre élargissement de prison.
