Depuis sa création, l’Autorité de Régulation des Télécommunications et des Postes a affiché un bilan remarquable, positionnant notre pays parmi les nations ayant réussi le virage numérique grâce à des technologies telles que la 3G, la 4G et désormais la 5G. C’est le constat fait par Yellamine Goumbala, qui a présidé ce mardi à Saly (Mbour) la 7e édition du forum d’échanges et de partage avec les professionnels des médias.
Le forum, ayant pour thème « ARTP, 2014/2024 : Bilan d’une décennie de régulation des communications électroniques, des postes et perspectives à l’horizon 2035 », a rassemblé plus d’une quarantaine de journalistes issus de la Convention des Jeunes Reporters du Sénégal et de l’Union des Radios Communautaires du Sénégal (URAC).
« L’objectif de ce séminaire de trois jours de formation et de partage est d’amener les professionnels des médias à se familiariser davantage avec les missions de l’ARTP, en s’appropriant les thèmes fondamentaux des communications électroniques et des postes pour mieux les traiter et les relayer auprès du grand public », a précisé Yellamine Goumbala.
Il a ajouté que l’ARTP, en tant que garant de la bonne image et de la traçabilité des informations pour le compte de l’État du Sénégal dans les domaines des communications électroniques et des postes, aspire à établir des partenariats solides avec les médias pour mieux faire connaître cette position stratégique du Sénégal auprès des régulateurs, opérateurs, équipementiers et consommateurs.
Abordant les réalisations de l’autorité, le Secrétaire Général a exposé les 10 priorités de l’ARTP, annonçant les dossiers en cours pour l’année 2024 et les perspectives pour 2035.
Parmi les projets figurent le dégroupage de la boucle locale, la certification à la norme ISO 27001 pour la sécurité des systèmes d’information, la réalisation d’une enquête nationale sur l’accès et les usages des TIC et le calcul d’un indice des prix des services de communications électroniques, ainsi que l’opérationnalisation du projet pilote de la Radio Numérique Terrestre, entre autres.
