Lors de la prière de l’Aïd El Fitr (korité) célébré hier mercredi, le Khalife général de Thiénaba, Baye Serigne Assane Seck, a exprimé son soutien au nouveau président de la République, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye.
Ce, en affirmant « qu’aucun chef religieux ne nourrit de rancœur envers lui et que tous prient pour sa réussite à la tête du pays. » Le Khalife a encouragé le Président et son gouvernement à dépasser les réalisations de leurs précédents.
Baye Serigne Assane Seck a également appelé le chef de l’État « à rendre visite aux khalifes généraux du pays, dans un geste de courtoisie et de respect.
» Ainsi, il a insisté sur l’importance de la paix et de la prospérité au Sénégal, exhortant le gouvernement « à éviter les représailles et à se concentrer sur le travail dans l’intérêt national, plutôt que d’adopter une mentalité de vengeance. »
