Le Comité interdiocésain national des pèlerinages catholiques (Cinpec) a annoncé hier, mardi, que 350 pèlerins quitteront Dakar ce mercredi pour les lieux saints de la chrétienté : Bethléem (Israël), Rome (Italie) et Lourdes (France).
Selon le président du Cinpec, Paul Abel Mamba, le pèlerinage va durer trois semaines, du 24 août au 13 septembre. «C’est 10 jours en Israël, 5 jours à Rome et 5 jours à Lourdes», détaille-t-il dans des propos repris par Bés Bi-Le Jour.
Parmi les pèlerins de cette année, il y aura ceux qui avaient un billet pour l’édition de 2020, mais qui n’avaient pas pu en bénéficier à cause de la pandémie. Leurs billets sont valables. «C’est pour ne pas faire de disparité entre les anciens et les nouveaux», justifie le président du Cinpec.
Paul Abel Mamba a révélé qu’il est conseillé aux pèlerins de se faire vacciner et de disposer d’un pass sanitaire. Il explique : «La plupart des aéroports (des pays à visiter) demandent le pass sanitaire. Et comme nous allons en groupe, il est bon de se prémunir pour ne pas mettre en danger l’ensemble du groupe. Nous avons fortement conseillé le vaccin à tous les pèlerins.»
