Les nouveaux membres de la Commission électorale nationale autonome (Cena) et celui du Conseil constitutionnel en l’occurrence Cheikh Tidiane Coulibaly, ont prêté serment ce lundi. La cérémonie a eu lieu à la Cour suprême. Lors de son speech, le président du Conseil constitutionnel, Mamadou Badio Camara, a révélé que Abdoulaye Sylla, nouveau président de la Cena, a mis fin à ses fonctions de membre du Conseil.
« Monsieur le Président Abdoulaye Sylla, à la suite d’illustres présidents et membres du Conseil constitutionnel démissionnaires en 1993 et en 2002, vous avez choisi de mettre fin à vos fonctions de membre du Conseil constitutionnel en présentant votre démission conformément aux articles 89 de la Constitution et 5 de la loi organique relative au Conseil constitutionnel”, a déclaré M. Badio Camara qui s’adressait au nouveau président de la Cena qui a prêté ce lundi.
Il a poursuivi en magnifiant “le riche parcours” du remplaçant de Doudou Ndir à la tête de la Cena.
“Tout au long de votre riche carrière, vous avez occupé de hautes responsabilités au sein de l’Administration, vous êtes Inspecteur général d’État, avant d’être nommé membre du Conseil constitutionnel, où vous avez accompli votre mission avec le dévouement, la disponibilité et la convivialité qui vous caractérisent.
Qu’il nous suffise, pour vous remercier, de dire avec toute la gratitude qui sied : vous avez, durant cinq ans, mis toute votre science et toutes vos forces au service du Conseil constitutionnel. Vous êtes désormais appelé à diriger une équipe de hauts cadres qui allient compétence et expérience”, a-t-il conclu.
Cette révélation du président du Conseil constitutionnel va-t-elle faire baisser la tension? Pour rappel, l’expert électoral, Ndiaga Sylla ainsi que des membres de l’opposition ont dénoncé des irrégularités du décret nommant Abdoulaye Sylla à la tête de la Cena. Invoquant la loi sur la Cena, ils ont rappelé que les membres doivent être indépendants.
Mais la question qui mérite d’être posée est de savoir quand est-ce que M. Sylla a démissionné du Conseil constitutionnel? Après ou avant sa nomination à la tête de la Cena?
