Je leur réaffirme mes vifs remerciements, ma profonde gratitude, mon engagement et ma détermination à accomplir mes missions dans la loyauté, la transparence et le patriotisme conformément à ma lettre de mission.
Je mesure à sa juste valeur cette marque de confiance pour la gestion d’un secteur aussi important dans la vision du Chef de l’Etat et la bonne marche du pays.
La culture et le patrimoine historique sont de solides socles de la paix, de la cohésion sociale, de l’unité nationale, du vivre-ensemble harmonieux, de la sécurité et surtout du développement socio-économique.
Le génie sénégalais s’y affirme sous diverses formes. A nous de le faire briller de mille éclats.
Ensemble, sans négliger aucun acteur ou partenaire du secteur, faisant de chacun un pilier de notre réussite collective, nous ferons encore rayonner de la plus belle des manières le génie créateur de notre beau peuple.
Je compte sur chacune et chacun de mes compatriotes pour relever les grands défis patriotiques qui nous attendent.
Avec des compatriotes « ready for the job », pas de temps pour l’apprentissage, mais pour l’action.
Dans un élan de solidarité agissante avec mes collègues du Gouvernement, je compte travailler avec rigueur et professionnalisme et j’invite tous les acteurs à s’approprier l’esprit et la lettre du « fast tract policy » du chef de l’Etat et du chef du Gouvernement.
Après avoir fait très rapidement l’état des lieux, une stratégie claire de mise en œuvre de la politique culturelle du Président de la République sera adoptée et rigoureusement appliquée.
Je rends aussi hommage à tous mes illustres prédécesseurs pour leurs excellentes contributions dans l’élaboration, la mise en œuvre et l’évaluation de nos successives politiques culturelles. Respect et gratitude à eux tous.
