Des festivités dédiées au 38e anniversaire de l’orchestre Dande Leñol (La voix du peuple), de Baaba Maal, se tiennent ce week-end à Nouakchott, la capitale de la Mauritanie, a appris l’envoyé spécial de l’APS du manager du chanteur, Oumar Wade.
Baaba Maal va donner des concerts, samedi et dimanche, dans cette ville.
‘’Dans le cadre de la consolidation des relations historiques entre les peuples mauritanien et sénégalais, l’orchestre Dande Leñol fête doublement son anniversaire, depuis trente-huit ans, au Sénégal et en Mauritanie’’, a-t-il rappelé.
Le groupe de musique souhaite, par la célébration de ses 38 ans à Nouakchott, contribuer à ‘’consolider les rapports de bon voisinage entre les deux États’’, la Mauritanie et le Sénégal, a expliqué Oumar Wade.
C’est la raison pour laquelle les festivités prévues dans la capitale mauritanienne sont placées ‘’sous le haut patronage des deux chefs d’État, Macky Sall et Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani’’, a-t-il dit.
Pour le 38e anniversaire du Dande Leñol, Baaba Maal a donné un concert, le 7 octobre, au Grand Théâtre Doudou Ndiaye Coumba Rose, à Dakar.
Les festivités dédiées aux 38 ans du groupe de l’artiste sénégalais ont pour thème : ‘’Unité dans la diversité culturelle africaine’’.
Baaba Maal et ses collaborateurs disent vouloir rendre hommage aux communautés de pêcheurs (les Soubalbés, les Lébous et les Niominkas), pour leur ‘’inestimable contribution’’ à la cohésion nationale.
