L’année 2024 marque la célébration de trois anniversaires importants dans le milieu de la recherche au Sénégal : les 80 ans de l’Institut de recherche pour le développement (IRD), les 40 ans du Centre de coopération internationale en recherche agronomique pour le développement (Cirad) et les 50 ans de l’Institut Sénégalais de Recherches Agricoles (ISRA).
Afin de marquer ces décennies de partenariats scientifiques, l’IRD, le CIRAD et l’ISRA organisent un événement commun du 19 au 22 novembre 2024 avec au programme, une exposition-photo sous le thème « Régénérer le vivant », ainsi qu’une série de tables-rondes ouvertes au public les 20, 21 et 22 novembre sur l’agriculture et le changement climatique, les living Labs et la santé globale, et la gestion des eaux et la santé des sols au Sénégal.
Cet événement réunira des chercheurs, doctorants et partenaires pour partager des résultats de projets de recherche et d’innovation au service du développement durable et mettre en lumière les avancées scientifiques sur les grands enjeux du développement et de l’environnement local et planétaire.«
Ces journées anniversaires témoignent d’un partenariat scientifique et technique fécond entre nos institutions depuis plusieurs décennies.
En 40 ans, le CIRAD a noué de nombreux partenariats qui constituent un capital unique de relations, de connaissances et d’expertise. En 2007, la création de dispositifs de recherche et de formation en partenariat favorise une coopération Sud-Sud aux échelles régionale et internationale.
