CHEFS RELIGIEUX, COUTUMIERS ET NOTABLES DE CAYAR DÉNONCENT LES TENTATIVES DE MANIPULATION ET CORRUPTION DU DIRECTEUR DE L’USINE BARNA SÉNÉGAL
CAYAR, le 29-Septembre 2022 – Les chefs religieux et coutumiers de Cayar ont tenu une grande mobilisation suivie d’une déclaration de presse pour apporter un démenti aux propos fallacieux du directeur de Barna Sénégal qui, lors de son dernier point de presse tenu le 22 Septembre dernier, déclarait avoir la bénédiction des personnalités religieuses et coutumières de Cayar.
Selon Ndongo Niang, dignitaire Lébou à Cayar « Il est plus que nécessaire mais vital de lutter contre cette usine qui non seulement est nuisible pour nous habitants de Cayar mais aussi favorise la corruption dans notre communauté ».
Par ailleurs, El hadji Abdoulaye Sylla, Ndeye Ji Reew et secrétaire général de la collectivité Lébou du Cap Vert a rappelé les vertus du lebou, sa dignité et son refus de la corruption. Il interpelle la plus haute autorité qu’est le président de la République et exhorte la communauté cayaroise à se liguer comme un seul homme. Selon lui, toute la collectivité Lébou du cap Vert est engagée et elle sera au devant de la bataille.
Pour rappel, Babacar Diallo, directeur général de L’usine de farine et d’huile de poisson Barna Sénégal soutenait que le collectif ayant porté plainte contre Barna Sénégal serait un groupe de 3 individus.
Les autorités religieuses, coutumières et notables de Cayar face à la presse ce jeudi 29 Septembre 2022
‘’Notre engagement et notre détermination sont plus que jamais accentués par ce soutien des autorités religieuses et coutumières de Cayar. Et nous allons continuer de défendre Cayar contre Barna Sénégal qui dégrade notre environnement, pollue et menace nos moyens de subsistance.’’ déclare Mamadou Leye, porte-parole du collectif Taxawu Cayar.
Le collectif Taxawu Cayar compte maintenir voire renforcer la mobilisation constatée, le jeudi 22 Septembre 2022, lors de la première audience à la cour d’appel de Thiès.
Le collectif reste confiant et renouvelle son engagement pour préserver son environnement. Pour l’heure, des membres de la société civile, d’honorables députés et d’autres délégations étrangères de la Mauritanie et de la Gambie seront présents au tribunal le 6 Octobre prochain pour apporter leur soutien aux populations de Cayar.
