Otentik Concept est une nouvelle maison de production de téléfilms. Sans pour autant endosser les critiques qui accablent les autres maisons, cette nouvelle société de production entend se démarquer de ce qui se fait actuellement dans la production des téléfilms, en mettant en avant des contenus qui font la promotion des valeurs africaines.
Reine d’Afrique, une nouvelle télé-réalité qui est en gestation, est dans cette lignée. «Otentik Concept est une nouvelle maison de production qui vise à rénover un peu le paysage audiovisuel et créer des contenus qui allient en même temps culture, divertissement et éducation. Ce n’est pas que les contenus que l’on a actuellement ne nous agrée pas, mais ce qu’on veut, c’est rénover un peu le paysage audiovisuel en créant des contenus de qualité qui peuvent éveiller la conscience de ces jeunes et pourquoi pas faire renaître les valeurs africaines perdues», a fait savoir Khadija Maïmouna Ba, chargée de communication au sein d’Otentik Concept.
Dans le teaser, mis à part «le viol qui est dénoncé», il y a d’autres thèmes tabous qui sont abordés dans Reine d’Afrique, selon les créateurs de cette télé-réalité qui ont fait face à la presse dans les locaux de la maison de production. «L’idée nous est venu de créer des contenus typiquement africains. Et Reine d’Afrique est une téléréalité qui vise à faire renaître les anciennes valeurs africaines et par là, valoriser la femme africaine dans toute sa splendeur en mettant en avant aussi la beauté des paysages africains», soutient Khadija Maïmouna Ba, qui n’a pas manqué de s’épancher sur la manière dont s’est fait le choix des actrices intervenant dans cette télé-réalité. «C’est au terme de plusieurs castings qu’on a pu choisir 40 candidates qui sont parties en coaching puis, à la fin de ce coaching, on a pu choisir 20 qui sont parties à Simal en tournage pour la première étape», renseigne-t-elle.
«Les candidates sont issues de milieux socioculturels différents. On n’a pas juste pris des Sénégalaises. Il y a aussi des Gabonaises, des Ivoiriennes, des Congolaises, des Camerounaises. On est en pourparlers avec certaines télés, que ce soit ici au Sénégal ou bien à l’international. Nous voulons que le programme soit diffusé au-delà du Sénégal», ajoute sa collègue, Wekney Isabel Faye, responsable administrative et commerciale.
