Le candidat cheikh Tidiane Dièye a fait face à la presse hier, jeudi 18 janvier 2024, pour apporter la réplique au candidat Amadou Ba qui a déposé un recours contre sa candidature devant le Conseil constitutionnel. Une démarche que Cheikh Tidiane Dièye trouve trop légère. « Sa démarche est légère et non rigoureuse ».
En effet, il est reproché d’abord au candidat Cheikh Tidiane Dièye d’être membre d’un parti politique dissous en l’occurrence l’ex-Pastef. Mais le candidat estime qu’il n’a jamais milité dans un parti politique et qu’il ne dispose d’aucune carte d’un parti par choix et par conviction.
Selon lui, une photo et une vidéo ont été jointes également par Amadou Ba pour dire qu’il fait partie de l’ex Pastef.
« C’est une photo m’affichant aux côtés d’Ousmane Sonko. Elle date de 2019 lors de l’élection présidentielle alors que j’étais son directeur de campagne, sur sa proposition. J’assume tout ce compagnonnage, cette alliance, mais en aucun cas, nos entités ne se sont fusionnées ».
Et de poursuivre : « Moi, je dirige un mouvement politique « Avenir Sénégal Bi Nu Begg, Sonko dirige un parti politique légalement constitué. Par ailleurs, il a aussi joint une vidéo où j’étais à Bordeaux dans une rencontre des militants de Pastef où j’avais dit que Pastef et Avenir Sénégal Bi Nu Begg sont indispensables ».
Et le candidat Dièye de répliquer : « Pour qui sait parler le français, ça signifie en réalité qu’il y a déjà deux entités distinctes ». Le chef du mouvement «Avenir Sénégal Bi Nu Begg» a aussi déploré le fait que des rapprochements aient été faits entre les couleurs de son mouvement et celles de l’ex-Pastef.
Cheikh Tidiane Dièye a récusé en bloc toutes ces accusations tout en relevant que « Je suis un candidat investi par une entité regroupant des personnalités indépendantes »
