Agent et homme de confiance de Balla Gaye 2, Aziz Ndiaye est revenu sur la période douloureuse de la carrière du Lion de Guédiawaye.
Balla Gaye 2 est sans aucun doute l’un des meilleurs lutteurs de l’histoire de l’arène sénégalaise. Roi des arènes à 26 ans et tombeur du mythe Yahya Diop Yékini et de la légende Mohamed Ndao Tyson et de l’actuel roi des arènes Modou Lô , le fils de Double a tout raflé sur son passage entre 2010 et 2014.
Mais c’est lors de la saison 2013-2014 que Balla Gaye a commencé à vivre la pire période de sa carrière dans laquelle il sera dépossédé de la couronne avant de s’incliner contre Eumeu Séne.
Des moments difficiles qui avaient poussé le lion de Guédiawaye à s’exiler et à séparer de bon nombre de ses proches d’alors dont son mentor Aziz Ndiaye.
Ce dernier est revenu sur cet épisode de la vie de l’empereur des arènes.
« C’est moi qui avait organisé son combat dans lequel il a perdu son titre contre Bombardier.
Après cette défaite et celle contre Eumeu Sène, les problèmes ont commencé. Certains nous accusaient même d’œuvrer pour la défaite de Balla Gaye alors que c’est nous qui l’avons soutenu depuis ses combats contre Baboye, Yékini etc…
Notre relation s’était détériorée, nous avons pris de la distance et chacun n’est resté dans son coin » a révélé Aziz Ndiaye dans l’émission Deñ kumpa de la RTS.
Avant d’évoquer son rôle dans la redemption de BG2, l’ancien promoteur souligne que la valeur marchande du lutteur de Guédiawaye en avait pris un sacré coup.
« Pratiquement tout le monde l’avait délaissé après ses deux défaites.
Il est ensuite passé d’un cachet de 120 millions à un cachet de 50 millions FCFA. J’ai pris la décision de le prendre son mon aile et de l’aider à rebondir. Je l’ai logé chez moi avant son combat contre Gris Bordeaux et Dieu merci aujourd’hui il est devenu l’empereur des arènes ».
