La Douane sénégalaise vient encore de faire une saisie record. Il s’agit de billets noirs d’une contrevaleur de cinq (05) milliards de CFA.
Le Poste des Douanes de Tanaff a intercepté ce mardi 16 avril 2024, des devises en billets noirs d’une contrevaleur de cinq (05) milliards de francs CFA. L’annonce a été faite par la Division de la communication et des relations publiques des gabelous.
Dans son communiqué de presse, elle renseigne que la saisie est composée de quatre (04) millions en coupures de 50, 10 et 200 Dollars ; quatre (04) millions en coupures de 500, 200 et 100 Euros ainsi que de deux cent (200) millions en francs CFA.
Les faussaires, au nombre de quatre (04), dont deux de nationalité sénégalaise et deux de nationalité étrangère, ont été appréhendés dans une auberge à Goudomp détenant par devers eux lesdits billets noirs dans l’intention de procéder à leur lavage.
L’opération a nécessité l’exploitation croisée de renseignements, de la surveillance et de la filature sur plusieurs jours jusqu’à l’intervention réussie des agents des Douanes de Tanaff, ce mardi 16 avril 2024 à 13h 40mn et qui a permis de mettre la bande de criminels hors d’état de nuire.
Cette saisie intervient 48heures après la prise record de cocaïne réalisée à Kidira.
