Selon l’Agence nationale de la statistique et de la démographie (Ansd), la production industrielle hors égrenage de coton a diminué de 6,1% au mois d’avril 2022 relativement à celle de la même période de 2021.

La même source souligne que cette baisse est essentiellement imputable aux contractions notées dans la production des industries extractives (-12,1%) et manufacturières (-8,2%). Toutefois, il est constaté des raffermissements de la production « d’électricité, de gaz et d’eau » (+23,1%) et des industries environnementales (+7,3%), sur la même période.
Sur les quatre premiers mois de l’année 2022 ajoute l’Ansd, la production industrielle a progressé de 3,2%, par rapport à la période correspondante de 2021. L’activité d’égrenage de coton est marquée par une absence de production au mois sous revue. Sur les quatre premiers mois de 2022, elle s’est amoindrie de 6,2%, comparativement au cumul sur la même période de 2021.
