A l’examen des indicateurs d’intermédiation financière, explique l’institution, la dynamique de croissance des activités des Sfd, en matière d’ouverture de comptes, de collecte de dépôts et d’octroi de crédits à la clientèle, s’est poursuivie au cours du trimestre sous revue.
«L’encours des dépôts collectés par les institutions de microfinance s’est accru de 66,8 milliards FCFA (soit +2,8%) par rapport au trimestre précédent, pour s’établir à 2.459,6 milliards FCFA. En glissement annuel, il est noté une augmentation de 10,7%.
La hausse trimestrielle des dépôts est observée dans quasiment tous les pays de l’Union, à savoir au Sénégal (+32,4 milliards FCFA, +5,9%), en Côte d’Ivoire (+15,7 milliards FCFA, +2,6%), au Togo (+8,5 milliards FCFA, +2,1%), au Burkina (+5,2 milliards FCFA, +1,1%), au Mali (+3,3 milliards FCFA, +2,1%), au Bénin (+2,2 milliards FCFA, +1,1%) et en Guinée-Bissau (+364,0 mille FCFA, +1,6%). Toutefois, une baisse est notée au Niger (-576,8 millions FCFA, -2,1%) », informe la Bceao.
L’épargne mobilisée par les Sfd a été constituée à hauteur de 43,4% par les hommes, 22,2% par les femmes et 34,4% par les groupements.
S’agissant de la structure par terme, les dépôts à vue sont prépondérants, avec une part de 56,5%. Les dépôts à terme et les autres dépôts représentent respectivement 21,5% et 22,0%.
Le montant moyen des dépôts par client est ressorti à 128.973 FCFA à fin septembre 2024, en hausse de 2,1% par rapport au trimestre précédent. Cette évolution s’explique notamment par une augmentation plus importante de l’encours des dépôts (+2,8%) que celle du nombre des clients (+0,7%) au cours de la période sous revue.
Comparé à fin septembre 2023 (125.627 FCFA), le montant moyen des dépôts par client a progressé de 2,7%.
A fin septembre 2024, l’épargne mobilisée par le secteur de la microfinance de l’Umoa représente 5,5% de celle collectée par les établissements de crédit de l’Union, après 5,3% au trimestre précédent.
