Le procès des députés Mame Diarra Fam et Déthié Fall a été renvoyé hier au 27 juin. Mais, il y a une procédure pour une suspension des poursuites et une levée de leur détention.
C’est à l’initiative des parlementaires membres de la coalition Aar Sénégal qui, hier, ont dénoncé une détention «arbitraire». L’annonce a été faite en conférence de presse par le député Théodore Monteil. Il a déclaré qu’on «est en face d’un Etat hors-la-loi qui est en train d’aller au-delà de toutes les règles pour pouvoir asseoir son pouvoir».
Lui et ses camarades ont fustigé également ce qu’ils qualifient de «recul démocratique» lié à la restriction des libertés de manifester. «Ce qui est recherché, tout le monde le sait, c’est la troisième candidature. Et cette troisième candidature, la Constitution sénégalaise règle le problème définitivement : nul ne peut faire plus de deux mandats consécutifs. S’il veut le faire, il peut essayer», décrypte Théodore Monteil.
L’ancien responsable de l’Union citoyenne Bunt-bi appelle ainsi les Sénégalais à la vigilance par rapport à la question de l’éventuel troisième mandat pour le Président Macky Sall. Par ailleurs, Thierno Bocoum, Cheikh Oumar Sy, Abdourahmane Diouf et Cie ont réitéré leur position pour la tenue des élections législatives à date échue, c’est-à-dire le 31 juillet prochain.
