Les conflits fonciers au Sénégal n’épargnent même pas les lieux de culte. C’est le cas à la paroisse l’enfant Jésus de Prague de Tivaouane Peulh. Un promoteur immobilier a brandi des papiers pour réclamer un hectare dans l’église. Une « forfaiture » que dénonce l’administrateur de ladite paroisse.
« Nous avons un litige avec un promoteur immobilier et cela s’est vraiment accentué cette année parce qu’il veut nous confisquer un hectare dans notre église.
Évidemment, il brandit des papiers, mais nous aussi nous avons les nôtres. L’église s’est levée très tôt pour barrer la route aux prédateurs fonciers », a affirmé Abbé Omer Seck, sur la Rfm, ce mercredi.
En réaction, les responsables annoncent une plainte et invitent les fidèles à un sit-in dimanche prochain après la messe.
« On ne compte pas se laisser faire. Nous avons saisi les autorités locales, sans succès. Nous allons organiser un sit-in, le 26 mai, pour dénoncer cette forfaiture, qu’est une forme d’agression.
Nous avons le droit de défendre ce qui nous appartient. Si rien n’est fait, nous allons porter l’affaire devant les juridictions compétentes », fait savoir l’administrateur de la paroisse l’enfant Jésus de Prague de Tivaouane Peulh.
