Invité sur le plateau de la TFM, Babacar Mboup, porte-parole du mouvement And Samm Jikko Yi, est revenu sur le blocage du projet de loi visant à criminaliser l’homosexualité au Sénégal.
Une proposition législative qui, selon lui, figurait parmi les engagements de campagne du nouveau régime, mais qui tarde toujours à se concrétiser.
Un an après l’arrivée au pouvoir des nouvelles autorités, le projet semble toujours mis de côté.
Une situation qui interpelle fortement le mouvement And Samm Jikko Yi, fer de lance de cette initiative et qui, sous l’ancien régime de Macky Sall, avait mené un combat acharné pour faire adopter cette loi.
« La réalité du pouvoir a rattrapé le nouveau régime », a lancé Babacar Mboup lors de son passage à la télévision, exprimant son incompréhension face à ce qu’il qualifie de lenteur. Malgré cette déception, il affirme que son mouvement n’a pas renoncé.
Il indique préparer une nouvelle proposition de loi qu’il compte soumettre à l’Assemblée nationale, dans l’espoir qu’elle connaisse cette fois-ci une issue favorable.
