Les leaders de Yewwi Askan Wi ont fait un grand rétropédalage ce mercredi 29 Juin. Après avoir accepté d’annuler leur manifestation, le leader de Pastef annonce qu’ils participeront aux élections législatives du 31 juillet 2022. Ousmane Sonko appelle la population du Sénégal à sanctionner massivement le président Macky Sall au cours de ces joutes électorales.
Après plusieurs appels à résister face à ce qu’ils estimaient être une injustice avec la suppression de leur liste de titulaires, Ousmane Sonko et Cie ont annoncé que les élections vont se tenir bel et bien le 31 juillet 2022. Une façon de confirmer le conseil constitutionnel en laissant leurs suppléants représenter la liste nationale.
« Toutes nos listes sont en compétition. Macky Sall a éliminé les leaders de Yewwi au niveau des titulaires, mais nos suppléants vont participer », a annoncé Ousmane Sonko, ajoutant dans la foulée qu’il reste convaincu, avec le soutien du peuple sénégalais, qu’au soir de ces élections, le régime de Macky Sall sera affaibli pour tendre vers un échec en 2024.
