«Voilà deux mois que la Sonacos traîne avec cette facture de deux (2) milliards de francs Cfa.
Nous ne pouvons accepter une telle situation qui non seulement nous porte préjudice mais freine toutes nos activités de d’achat de graines dans les campagnes», déclare Assane Mbaye, vice-président national des Ops en transport qui déplore le mutisme des responsables de la Sonacos.
«Nous ne pouvons même plus regarder les paysans qui nous ont légué ces graines d’arachide. Ils nous mettent la pression pour recouvrer leur argent.
Nous sommes aussi sous la pression des banques qui nous ont octroyé des prêts pour cette campagne», martèle l’opérateur privé stockeur.
Mobilisés devant l’usine Sonacos, ils ont fait savoir qu’ils vont suspendre toutes activités de collecte de graines d’arachide. «Nous allons arrêter tout processus de collecte jusqu’à paiement de notre argent.
Vous voyez bien que devant la Sonacos, ce matin (avant-hier lundi, ndlr), il n’y a pas l’ombre de camions chargés de graines», fait constater M. Mbaye qui évoque la particularité de la zone sud par rapport à cette campagne.
«Ici, dans la région, il n’y a que la Sonacos comme usine qui peut acheter les graines, comparé à d’autres zones comme Diourbel, Kaolack où les opérateurs ont le choix entre plusieurs usines…», souligne l’acteur de la filière arachidière.
Ces Ops n’excluent pas également de priver la Sonacos de noix d’anacarde, lors de la campagne de commercialisation des noix d’anacarde.
