Les faussaires tentaient de “laver” des billets noirs d’un montant de deux milliards de F Cfa. L’opération planifiée en Gambie s’est déroulée entre Thiès et Dakar avant qu’elle ne soit stoppée à l’ultime étape à Keur Massar par le Major Abdou Aziz Kandji.
“C’est comme si les faussaires se sont jetés dans la gueule du loup.
Quelle idée de venir laver des billets noirs dans un appartement situé à un et de pierre de la Brigade de recherche”, a commenté un habitant de firdawsi présent au moment de la conduite au parquet des quatre faussaires, sous le regard de l’élément infiltré.
Les mis en cause sont poursuivis pour “association de malfaiteurs et tentative de contrefaçon de billets de banque ayant cours légal sur le territoire national. Les billets saisis ont été mis sous scellés, rapporte L’Observateur
