Les limiers de la Division de lutte contre le trafic de migrants et pratiques assimilés (DNLT), une entité de la Direction de la police de l’air et des frontières (DPAF), ont interpellé deux personnes le 23 juin dernier. Elles convoyaient des Sénégalais moyennant des montants qui varient entre 300 000 et 1,5 million F CFA. Le préjudice total est estimé à 15 millions F CFA.
L’ambassade du Sénégal établi en Arabie saoudite n’a cessé de recevoir des plaintes venant de Sénégalais qui ont quitté dernièrement le pays et se retrouvent en terre saoudienne. Tous soutenaient dans leurs lettres qu’ils ont rejoint ce pays par l’entremise d’un duo qui leur avait soutenu qu’ils allaient avoir du travail une fois franchi le pays. Non seulement ils n’ont pas eu de travail comme promis, mais, au contraire, ils sont en train de vivre des situations difficiles. Toujours dans leurs plaintes, ils ont confié aux autorités diplomatiques qu’il y en a certains qui n’ont plus de quoi manger et qu’ils sont obligés de passer la nuit dans des enclos avec les chameaux.
Poursuivant leurs récits, les plus chanceux sont parvenus à rentrer au bercail, au moment où les autres crèvent toujours la dalle dans ce pays. Ils ajoutent qu’ils ont versé des montants qui varient entre 300 000 F CFA et 1,5 million pour regagner l’Arabie saoudite où on leur avait fait croire qu’ils allaient travailler dans des usines comme ouvriers avec de bons contrats. Ce qui a été un vrai mirage.
