Ces médicaments particulièrement populaires pour combattre le rhume pourraient augmenter le risque d’infarctus et d’AVC, a averti ce lundi l’Agence de sécurité du médicament et des produits de santé (ANSM).
Une alerte d’autant plus inquiétante que ces vasoconstricteurs (médicaments visant à désencombrer le nez) rencontrent un vrai succès auprès des Français.
En 2022, 3 millions de boîtes ont été vendues. L’ANSM déconseille fortement d’acheter ces médicaments, estimant le risque encouru «trop important pour un simple nez bouché».
L’Agence de sécurité du médicament et des produits de santé a rappelé l’existence de divers traitements naturels pour soigner un rhume. L’usage de sérum physiologique et de sprays d’eau thermale est ainsi préconisé. Il est aussi conseillé de dormir la tête surélevée et de boire suffisamment.
