Marieme Soda Ndiaye défend Bargny devant le Président de la République, Bassirou Diomaye Faye. L’ancienne parlementaire de la treizième législature et président du mouvement MAJEURS (Mouvement Africain de la Jeunesse pour l’Équité, l’Unité et le Renouveau Social) a transmis la doléance de la population de ladite commune s’opposant à l’implantation d’une nouvelle cimenterie.
Estimant que Bargny subit déjà un uppercut environnemental avec la cimenterie de Sococim, la central à charbon, le port minéralier et Vraquier, elle a laissé entendre que « les femmes de cette localité ne vivent plus et sont devenues vulnérables ».
Pour Marieme Soda Ndiaye, membre de la Coalition Diomaye Président, ce projet ne doit pas passer car Bargny risque d’être rayer de la carte.
« Nous sollicitons votre aide monsieur le Président », a-t-elle dit dans cette vidéo exploitée par Senego.
« Dans le cadre de la procédure de validation du rapport d’étude d’impact environnemental et social (EIES) du projet de création d’une usine de fabrication de ciment dans le périmètre du port minéralier et vraquier de Bargny-Sendou par l’entreprise SENCIM COMPAGNY SA, les destinataires de la présente sont priés de prendre part à l’audience publique, prévue le lundi 08 avril 2024 à 10 heures, au Centre socio-culturel Ndiouga DIENG de Bargny », lit-on dans cette note exploitée transmise à la presse.
