Les travaux de la deuxième phase du Train express régional (Ter) qui ont été lancés en mars dernier avancent. En effet, ce projet est réalisé en deux phases : une première phase allant de la gare de Dakar à Diamniadio (36km) et une seconde phase allant de Diamniadio à l’aéroport AIBD (19km).
Le ministre des Infrastructures, des Transports Terrestres et du Désenclavement a annoncé que le 2e tronçon du Ter est en cours de réalisation avec 22 trains qui vont circuler entre Dakar et l’Aéroport international Blaise Diagne. «Ça va augmenter la fréquence parce qu’aujourd’hui c’est un train toutes les 10 minutes. Je rappelle que nous avons 15 rames. Pour répondre certainement à un besoin actuel de mobilité, cet intervalle de 10 minutes sera revu à la baisse. On peut avoir un train toutes les 7 minutes. Ça va contribuer à fluidifier la circulation entre Dakar et Aibd», a fait savoir Mansour Faye.
Le Train Express Régional (TER) est un projet phare du Plan Sénégal Emergent (PSE) initié par le Président de la République, Macky Sall. Au terme, le TER va relier le centre ville de Dakar au nouvel aéroport International Blaise Diagne situé à 57km, en 45 minutes.
Articulé avec d’autres modes de transport par un système de rabattement intelligemment pensé, le TER constituera l’épine dorsale du transport dans la capitale Sénégalaise.
