Les membres de l’Union nationale des commerçants et industriels du Sénégal (Unacois Yeessal), ont demandé au président Macky Sall « de tout faire pour lever l’embargo sur le Mali, afin que la reprise effective des transactions commerciales entre les deux pays ait lieu».
Un souhait ainsi formulé par la voix du secrétaire général de l’Unacois Yeessal, Alla Dieng, ce jeudi, face à la presse. Au moment où la situation économique mondiale est fortement fragilisée par le conflit Russo-ukrainien, il a fait comprendre qu’en réalité, cet embargo sur le Mali « est une situation désastreuse et c’est le Sénégal qui souffre le plus ! »
C’est dans ce sens qu’il a invité le président Sall, qui est l’actuel président de l’Union africaine (UA) à poser le débat sur la table, le 03 juillet prochain à l’occasion du sommet ordinaire de la Cedeao à Accra (Ghana.) Une potentielle bouffée d’oxygène pour le peuple malien qui croule sous les sanctions économiques en plus d’une instabilité socio-politique qui dure depuis une décennie.
De l’avis du Sg de l’Unacois Yeessal, à cause de cet embargo qui dure depuis des mois : « personne ne peut évaluer ce qu’on a vécu en terme de préjudice subi et en terme de mévente et de voyage qu’on devait effectuer.
Parmi les gens qui évoluent dans l’économie informelle de part et d’autre de la frontière, il y a des commerçants sénégalais qui sont au niveau de la frontière (Tambacounda, Kédougou…) avec le Mali, mais aussi à partir de la frontière jusqu’à Kayes, il y a des acteurs, hommes et femmes qui évoluent dans l’économie informelle et qui souffrent ! Cette économie permettait d’abord la survie… Toutes ces femmes et ces hommes ont subi des préjudices incommensurables ! »
