Malgré aussi la visite du ministre de l’Intérieur, la tension n’est pas redescendue.
Surtout que quelques affrontements ont resurgi pendant son séjour dans la cité religieuse. Des tirs nourris de grenades lacrymogènes se sont fait entendre toute la journée d’hier.
Les gendarmes, qui cherchent par tous les moyens à disperser les jeunes et à désamorcer la bombe, ont procédé à plusieurs arrestations.
Le Général Jean-baptiste Tine, ministre de l’Intérieur et de la sécurité publique, a rencontré hier, lors de son séjour dans la ville, le Khalife général de Médina Gounass et celui de la communauté fouladou.
Dans son discours, il a appelé au calme et à l’apaisement afin de dépasser rapidement cette situation : «Nous sommes venus ici aujourd’hui pour renforcer les liens et réitérer ma demande faite hier [lundi] au khalife pour apaiser les esprits et baisser la tension, et il a accepté.
C’est pourquoi j’ai effectué le déplacement pour consolider les acquis et encore demander le retour au calme.»
Pour faire baisser la tension, l’Armée est même déployée sur les lieux pour plus de sécurité. «Des familles entières, nous rapporte-t-on, sont allées chercher refuge auprès des Forces de défense et de sécurité pour éviter d’être la cible des attaques.»
