L’estimation du coût de la phase 1 du projet de développement du champ Sangomar reste dans la fourchette prévue de 4,9 à 5,2 milliards d’USD, Selon Zonebourse.com.
La première phase du développement du champ de Sangomar est un projet en eaux profondes comprenant une installation flottante de production, de stockage et de déchargement -notamment la FPSO Léopol Sédar Senghor amarré à 100 Km au large de Dakar- autonome d’une capacité nominale de 100 000 barils/jour.
Elle comprend également, une infrastructure sous-marine conçue pour préparer les phases de développement ultérieures.
Le navire qui porte le nom du premier président du Sénégal a une capacité de stockage de 1 300 000 barils. Au total, 23 puits (11 puits de production, 10 puits d’injection d’eau et 2 puits d’injection de gaz), seront concernés par la première phase.
A signaler que, 21 des 23 puits ont été forés et complétés, dont 9 puits de production.
La coentreprise Rufisque Offshore, Sangomar Offshore et Sangomar Deep Offshore (RSSD), composée de Woodside (opérateur et participation de 82 %) et de la Société des pétroles du Sénégal (PETROSEN, participation de 18 %) qui mène le projet, a également approuvé le forage d’un 24e puits de production. Celui-ci sera achevé au cours de la campagne actuelle.
