Le Sénégal connaît ses adversaires pour les éliminatoires de la Coupe du monde de Basketball Qatar 2027. A l’issue du tirage au sort qui s’est tenu ce mardi au Qatar, les Lions héritent de la RD Congo, du Madagascar et de la Côte d’Ivoire dans le groupe B.
Le chemin ne sera pas simple pour les hommes du coach DeSagana vers Qatar. En effet, les éliminatoires de la prochaine Coupe du monde de Basketball Qatar 2027 débuteront en novembre prochain et les Lions devront finir vainqueur de leur B composé d’adversaires de taille, mais prenable pour les Lions ;
Le Sénégal fera face lors de trois fenêtres (novembre 2025, février 2026 et juillet 2026) à la RD Congo, le Madagascar et la Côte d’Ivoire en aller-retour. Cette première phase qualifiera 3 équipes de chaque groupe qui devra faire un autre tour de qualification dans 2 groupes de 6 équipes.
Après un tournoi où chaque équipe jouera trois équipes de l’autre groupe, les 2 meilleures équipes de chaque groupe se qualifieront ainsi que le meilleur troisième de ce tournoi.
