L’Association des Maires du Sénégal (AMS), en regrettant le grand retard pris cette année pour la mise à la disposition des collectivités territoriales des fonds de transferts (fonds de dotation à la décentralisation, fonds d’équipement des collectivités territoriales, contribution économique locale, ristournes, etc.), informe les Maires que les Ministères concernés sont en train d’effectuer les opérations nécessaires pour que ces fonds soient mis en place dans les heures et les jours à venir.
L’AMS espère qu’une telle situation vécue cette année budgétaire 2022 par les collectivités territoriales ne se renouvellera plus, et rappelle que les collectivités territoriales sont des démembrements de l’Etat. A ce titre elles doivent pouvoir disposer à temps des ressources indispensables à l’accomplissement correct de leurs missions.
L’AMS remercie le Président de la République ainsi que toutes les autorités qui ont aidé à débloquer ainsi une situation qui risquait de fragiliser la gestion des communes et départements du pays.
