Selon le ministère de l’Environnement et du développement durable, le véhicule et ses accessoires valent « 115 854 034 FCfa ».
Le nouveau véhicule-laboratoire sera utilisé pour la dépollution de la baie de Hann, à Dakar, renseigne « Vox Populi ». « C’est un vieux rêve du ministère qui vient de se réaliser. C’est un outil très important, qui nous permettra d’avoir des éléments d’appréciation, de contrôle et de mesure des eaux usées, notamment celles qui proviennent des industries», a salué le ministre Abdou Karim Sall.
